When we punched the location for Beinn Ghlas windfarm into the sat nav we got a sobering readout on the screen. The drive from Aero Productions HQ to the location was 474 miles. That might be enough to put some companies off but not Aero Productions.

In those rare quiet moments in the office, our Executive Producer’s thoughts often drift north of the border. Simon loves nothing more than to stand waist deep in a fast flowing Scottish river, fly rod in hand, trying and mainly failing to catch a wild Atlantic salmon.

Nine hours behind the wheel of the crew car saw us in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Renewable Parts Ltd supply the wind energy sector with replacement parts for the turbines that provide us all with clean, environmentally friendly energy. They wanted an eye catching film to grab the attention of potential customers at a big energy exhibition.

We deployed all of our top line kit to capture the team at work in an incredibly beautiful location. In the air we had our Skyjib Octocopter and the DJI Inspire 1 Pro shooting images in 4K ultra HD. One the ground a Sony A7Rii and our Canon C300 digital cinema camera were in action to add to aerial drama and to film interviews for a second film we are making for Renewable Parts Ltd. We think the film is marvelous. And this is what the boss at Renewable Parts thinks about it:

“I have no hesitation in recommending Aero Productions for high quality drone photography and footage. The shoot itself went like clockwork, Simon bringing an impressive array of cameras and drone equipment to cater for all circumstances. We are delighted with the results and believe they will greatly boost our on-going marketing strategy. Renewable Parts will be using Aero Productions again in the future”
